The 2009 MAG Mutual
Handy Coder gives the medical coder and
biller the most convenient reference for the
coding and coverage information they will need
to perform their job on a day-to-day basis.
The OB/GYN Handy Coder includes Obstetrics, Gynecology, Gynecological
Oncology.
The main body of the book will be procedure (CPT®) code-driven and provide crosslinks to common ICD-9 codes, coding and overage tips, CCI edits, and Medicare RVU information (and hopefully illustrations, and lay descriptions of the CPT codes). Additional chapters will cover specialty-specific: common anatomy and terminology, evaluation and management (E&M) utilization statistics, diagnosis (ICD-9) coding and codes, modifiers, and reimbursement tips. A supplemental CD will be included that compiles useful spreadsheets and other tools that can be implemented in the practice to increase efficiency and profitability.
